Captiva Direct, Inc. started in the home of Walter Nelson in 1999. It soon outgrew his home's den and moved into the basement. By 2001, Captiva had to move into a 2,500 Sq ft. office due to its continued swift growth.. Experiencing a 400% growth in 2002, the company was moved into it's current location on Hamilton Drive where it is currently home to 10 employees.

Captiva Direct has been on the Fast-Track 50, the Weatherhead 100, twice, and listed as the 93rd overall fastest growing marketing company in the United States by Inc. magazine.
